Nordic Championship in Mini Golf |
High-level international competition. Teams from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Russia have been invited to participate in the championship. It is expected that around 100 guests from abroad - players and coaches - will participate in the competition. Championship will take place in Liepaja Olympic Centre indoor mini golf courses. Juniors, women, men and seniors will win
10 sets of medals.
Tournament takes place every 2-3 years. Previous championship was held in 2009 in Tampere, Finland, where the Latvian women’s team won bronze medals.

Russian theater festival "Golden Mask" |
Festival "Golden Mask" is represented in Latvia since 2006 and reflects the Latvian-Russian cultural cooperation, offering viewers high-quality drama theater and giving the possibility to get acquainted with the best theaters of Russia, famous actors and directors.
The festival is also a possibility for Liepāja Theatre to present itself to the public of Moscow. Within the project "Mask Plus" the Russian theater critics choose the best Latvian theatrical performances and invite them to go on tour to Moscow.

The Day of Lāčplēsis (Remembrance Day of War Heroes)

On this day people in Latvia light candles in memory of those who died on November 11, 1919 fighting in the Latvian State Army against West Russian Volunteer Army or so-called Bermont’s forces and gaining the victory. On Remembrance Day of War Heroes homage is paid to the Latvian freedom fighters and Torchlight Procession in Liepāja is an integral part of the Remembrance Day.
